A – Z

This is a handy glossary of all the terms used on Thin End of the Wedge. Personal names are sorted as though each one is GIVEN NAME plus SURNAME. Elements such as “al-” and “de” are included as part of SURNAME. I’ve explained each term very briefly here. For more detail, I’ve given you two options. Clicking on the term itself [this feature is coming soon] takes you to the page on this site where that term is explained. Clicking on the links after the term takes you to Wikipedia. The quality of the information there is patchy, unfortunately. You should treat it with care. It usually gives you the gist OK. Some of the details might be unreliable, though.
